Visit to West Yorkshire Police Carr Gate HQ

Our fantastic Cub Leader, Akela has arranged a visit for ALL sections at 8th Carlton to West Yorkshire Police’s new Carr Gate HQ! 🙂

Each visit  take approximately 2 hours to complete, with half hourly visits to each of the following:- the Mounted section (horses), the Dog Section, Firearms, and Air Ops (Helicopter), these are preceded by a PowerPoint presentation outlining the Carrgate operations facilities*

*When a visit is arranged we cannot guarantee that you will be able to visit all the above mentioned sections because of any ongoing operations that might occur at the time of your visit. Visits booked may be cancelled at short notice by West Yorkshire Police due to operational or unforeseen circumstances.

Because we are limited to a MAXIMUM of 20 people –  children and Leaders – on a visit we have split the visits on different evenings as below.

Dropoff: 5:55pm at Carr Gate Police HQ
Collect: 8pm at Carr Gate Police HQ
Cost: None
What to wear / bring: Arrive in full uniform
Transport: Parents to arrange their own transport – you could note in the comments below if you are able to provide or need a lift?

Please confirm by email to your Section Leader if you are able to attend and then bring a permissions form as soon as possible prior to the visit. Please contact your Section Leader if you have any questions.
