Star Wars Cubs District Camp 2014

May the Force be with you JEDi training CAMP Info

South Leeds and Morley District have organised a Cub “Star Wars” themed Camp at the District Campsite “Phoenix” on – wait for it… May the 4th (hence the logo above!) This is a 1 night sleepover from the Saturday to the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend with optional fancy dress – Akela has already got hers (no, NOT the Princess Leia outfit!)

A full weekend of activities is planned with the Star Wars theme – bring or make some fancy dress or props for the event if you can. Come ready to take part  but  please arrive wearing your Cub neckerchief . Activities will include climbing, archery, crafts, games, treasure hunt, campfire as well as an overnight camp. Plus it is a chance to meet Cubs from all over the Empire (ok, District!)

Cost: £20.04 – bank transfer to 8th Carlton Scout Group ref: “JEDI <SURNAME> <INITIAL>
NB: Please do not pay by cheque as in the attached – we will collect payment as a group and then pass onto the District)

Meeting Place: Phoenix Campsite, Nepshaw Lane, Morley, LS27 9QQ
Dropoff: 9:30am Saturday 3rd May, Phoenix Campsite
Collect: 4pm, Sunday 4th May, Phoenix Campsite
Transport: Parents to arrange their own transport

Additional Notes: Bring a packed lunch for Saturday… all other food will be provided. Camping in tents overnight – full kit list to be provided. Cost for the event also includes a Phoenix Camp badge for your Camp blanket! Arrive in outdoor gear wearing your red+white necker ready to take part in the activities, but pack your Cubs jumper for Sunday. Bring a costume (optional) to wear Saturday evening.

Please confirm to Ziggy or Akela as soon as possible if your Cub will be attending this camp.
