8th Carlton takes part in Remembrance Parades
9 November 2014
There was a great turnout from all sections of the 8th Carlton Scout Group at this morning’s Rememberance Parades in Rothwell and Robinhood. All the members looked very smart in their well-turned out uniforms as they joined the parade, with many other members of the British Legion, police and Armed Forces, from Rothwell Parish Church along the bottom road past Morrisons before turning right up Gillett Lane to the Centoaph at the top. Many members of the public turned out also and it was a great tribute to those who had given their lives.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
At Rothwell Centoaph…
And afterwards at Robinhood Centoaph…
moving ceremonies and the cubs did us proud
