Cubs and Scouts make MORE Robots
Following on from last Thursday’s Robot building session, in order to give all the Cubs and Scouts as much opportunity as possible to have a go at the activities they wanted to, the team from Playful Leeds came back in again to take us through another interesting and creative Robot-building session!
Again – huge thanks from the 8th Carlton Scout Group Leaders to the Playful Leeds Team for putting on such a brilliant activity! Why not show your appreciation by coming along and joining them at the end of October on 25th / 26th in Leeds City Center where everyone will be able to see the culmination of their efforts… bring along any robots, Doodlebots, pictures of robots you have done either at Cubs or at home yourself….
And here are a couple of the resulting creations! Some great creativity coming out everyone 🙂
At the end of the evening, Joe R presented his “3SixT” stunt Scooter and his protective gear that he wears when practicing. From his presentation and the questions put to him to find out about it, this should earn him his Hobbies Badge – well done, Joe – very interesting.
Awards: Several Cubs received Nights Away (NA) / Hikes Away (HA) Staged Activity Badges as a result of them taking part in the excellent Sleepover at The Deep in Hull. James A was awarded his Nights Away 10 Staged Activity badge along with his Promise and Fitness Challenge badges – completing his set and lining him up to receive his Chief Scout’s Silver Award!
[…] R was awarded his Hobbies Badge which he earned last week after presenting to the Pack his hobby – “Stunts on his Scooter”; He also received his Community […]
