Oo's Blog!

Show and Tell and Mothers Day craft

27 March 2014

Well, I wasn’t able to make it to Cubs tonight, but seems I missed a busy and interesting evening! 🙁 Here’s what I understand went on from the Leaders that ran the session:

For the Show and Tell we had many of the Cubs bring something in which   was great! These included…

Two Beavers who are currently going through a small induction programme to introduce them to Cubs as they are due to move on soon also brought some items to show… Peter H brought some gym & football medals for his Sports Enthusiast Badge and some Antlers (wish I’d been there to see these!) for his Collectors Badge. Ewan S brought some lego models, also for his Collectors Badge.

There were several other things Cubs brought, but we ran out of time to fit everything in! So Cubs have been invited to bring these down again next week when we’ll try and get them reviewed and ticked off then – look out for that blog to see what else our Pack has been up to!

Great work everyone 🙂

Mother’s Day craft – Keego helped the Cubs make this beautifully simple flower with a lolly pop through the centre of it. What did you do for your Mum on Mother’s Day, Cubs? As well as giving them a flower I mean… did you take them out anywhere or get them breakfast in bed? Let me know in the comments below…

Mothers Day

The evening was rounded off with a game of dodge ball… Cubs v Scouts – which I understand the Cubs trounced the Scout Troop! Go Cubs 🙂

Perhaps we should be keeping some sort of score card, Bald Eagle?

Awards: Sammy R received his last two outstanding Challenge Badges tonight – Promise and Community which were completed following our visit to the Sikh Temple last week. He’s now lined up to received the coveted Chief Scout’s Silver Award – great work Sammy! James A also received his Community Challenge Badge. Henry M was awarded his 4 year badge for being involved in the Scouting Movement for this long – great example 🙂
